7am, Noon, and 7pm

At the outset of this Lenten pilgrimage, we pause to remember our full dependence on God -- for dust we are, and to dust we shall return. As we turn towards Jerusalem and the Cross to prepare for the Great Paschal Feast, we begin by confessing our sin, receiving the mark of ashes, and celebrating Holy Communion.

Lent is a time to slow down and reflect on our reliance upon the Triune God. In recognition that our world is increasingly chaotic and fast-paced, though, we are stepping outside our walls to offer a brief rite of prayer and the imposition of ashes for those too harried by this modern life. If you pass by Pierce and Ingleside during your commute -- or can make it part of your route -- you're invited to stop for a quick moment to breathe, pray, and enter the season of Lent.
